MITCHELL SCORES FIVE TOUCHDOWNS ON FIVE TOUCHES AS FORREST ROUTS EAST HICKMAN

Quincy Mitchell touched the football five times Friday night—and scored five touchdowns.

Mitchell turned four rushing attempts into 170 yards and four touchdowns, scoring on runs of 51, 68, 6 and 45 yards. His other touch was a 57-yard punt return for a touchdown, giving him 227 all-purpose yards and five scores on five touches in Forrest’s 55–6 victory over East Hickman.

Mitchell averaged 42.5 yards per rushing attempt and 45.4 yards every time he touched the football.

The Rockets scored 28 points in the opening quarter and carried a 42–0 advantage into halftime. Forrest extended its lead to 49–0 in the third quarter before East Hickman scored its only touchdown early in the fourth.

Forrest produced 365 yards of total offense on only 19 offensive plays—an average of more than 19 yards per play. The Rockets rushed seven times for 230 yards and completed 8 of 12 passes for 135 yards.

Micah Morgan completed 7 of 11 passes for 120 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Morgan connected with Jon Hightower for a 30-yard touchdown in the first quarter and found Jacob Tincher for a 16-yard score shortly before halftime.

Hightower led Forrest’s receivers with two catches for 67 yards and a touchdown. Tincher caught two passes for 23 yards and a score. Isaac Cruse had one reception for 12 yards, Braden Bourne caught one pass for 15 yards, Grant Todd added one catch for three yards, and Matlock had one reception for 15 yards.

Tegan Warner added a 40-yard run on his only carry. Easton Johnson rushed twice for 20 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Forrest defense limited East Hickman to 202 total yards on 54 plays. The Eagles rushed 42 times for 138 yards and managed only 64 yards through the air. Forrest also came away with three interceptions, recorded by Shaun David, Carter Kirksey and Jon Hightower.

Skiler Davis scored East Hickman’s only touchdown on a 4-yard run with 10:41 remaining.
